Another Primark Haul!

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you’ve all had an awesome week!

So yesterday I had loads of time to take back at work so I managed to get a half day! This obviously only meant one thing! Shopping trip with mum!

So here is my Primark Haul from yesterday!

Image

First of all I got this little outfit for a new addition to our family! I thought this was so cute! I just love shopping for babies haha!

Image

Snood £4

I love this cute little snood. It is a beige colour with birds and butterflies on it. It will look so cute in spring with all my pale pastel colours I’ve been buying lately.

Image

Cardigan £5 (Sale price)

Every man and his dog has this cardigan but I don’t care! I bought the grey one last time I was in Primark and I just love it so I obviously couldn’t resist this one when it was half price!

Image

Vest Tops £3 each

Slightly boring purchase but I wear these under everything! I have one in almost every colour! I bought these to replace a few that are now slightly worse for wear!

Image

Top £3

I’ve seen this on a few people’s blogs and I think it’s really cute! For £3 you can’t really complain!

Image

PJ Top £4, Bottoms £6

The cat theme strikes again! Couldn’t say no to these! I had them on last night and they were so comfy! I normally need fleece PJ’s cause my bedroom is so cold but these were okay!

Image

Jumper £3 (Sale price)

I’ve got a real obsession with pink just now and since this was pink and sparkly I had to have it! It is quite a thin jumper so it will do me through spring too which is great!

Image

Hairbrush £1, Hairbands £1

Again, boring purchases but I needed a new hairbrush and the hairbands were reduced to a £1 so I just picked them up!

Hope you enjoyed my haul post! Enjoy what’s left of the weekend, I’m just about to head off to work so that’s my weekend over! 😦

Lush Melting Marshmallow Moment Review

My other half was asking me the other day if there were any lush products I liked other than snow fairy so he could get ideas for valentines day. Of course I decided to go have a look at all the limited edition products so I could tell him!

Whilst browsing I got chatting to the sales guy about my love for snow fairy! This led to me buying the gorgeous bath melt! It smells identical to snow fairy!

Image

Of course I couldn’t wait for my bath last night to use this!

It was sooooo nice. The smell was just amazing. My bathroom still smells amazing now!

And the colour was a nice baby pink, so no scrubbing the bath clean!

I highly recommend this product to anyone who loves snow fairy as much as me! It is one of the more expensive bath bombs at £3.95 each but it is totally worth it!

January Primark Haul

Today I decided to go for a little wander to Primark. I wanted to get some new bed sheets and a pair of plain black plimsoles for work. Here is what I picked up!

Image

Image

These were the bed sheets I decided on! Slightly tacky I know but so typical of me to pick leopard print! It was £14 for a kingsize set which I think is great value! Primark’s bedding prices have dropped considerably this year!

Image

These grey jeggings were only £7. The only complaint I have about these is that they sit a bit low on my hips but for £7 I don’t mind too much!

Image

These cute reindeer PJ’s were reduced to only £3! I have a very similar pair which I love so I couldn’t resist these!

Image

Now this was an absolute bargain! I’ve seen a few bloggers pick this skirt up in their local primark for £5 but for some reason in my local store it was only £1! I’ve got a family reunion in 2 weeks time and I think this will feature for the meal at night! I still can’t quite believe I only paid a pound for this!

Image

This dress is very bright but there is something nice about it! I don’t think I will get much wear out of this until summer but for only £5 I can’t complain!

Image

No trip to primark would be complete without buying a few plain cami tops! I’ve been buying a lot of pink lately and today was no different. The white and fuchsia tops were £2 and the baby pink one was £2.50. I wear a plain cami almost every day so I will definitely get plenty wear out of these!

Image

These cute memory foam slippers were only £3.50! They are dead comfy!

Image

This gorgeous silky cami was reduced to only £2! I think I’m going to wear this with my £1 sequin skirt to my family reunion meal!

Image

I’m in love with this cardigan! Grey is another of my favourite colours just now. This was only £10 and I will definitely be wearing this lots as the weather starts getting warmer!

Image

And last, but not least, from the jewellery section I grabbed these beauties. The bow earrings were only £1 (aren’t they gorgeous!), the 5pk diamante studs were also £1 and the little leopard print clasps were reduced to 50p!

So there we go! That’s my latest primark haul!

I love reading new blogs. Leave me links to your blog in the comment box below! 🙂

Concrete jungle where dreams are made…

Okay, so for the last 18 months I have been saving like mad for my very special holiday to New York! As some of you may know, I turned 21 in 2013 and I always said I wanted to go for my birthday. Circumstances meant I didn’t quite get away in Summer but on 2nd January 2014 I set off on my travels with my lovely man!

The trip started with disaster of course! I woke up at 5am, all excited, only to find out our flight had been cancelled due to a snow storm in New York! Cue lots of screaming, crying and moaning about how unfair it is! Of course I refused to take no for an answer. I headed to the airport anyway and managed to get booked on a later flight with no hassle at all! (Thanks, British Airways!)

Image

My favourite photo from our trip! Central Park in the snow!

Anyway, the main point of this post is the shopping! OMG the shops are just sooooo good! Of course I was there during the January sales so everything was sooo cheap!

Image

  1. NYPD Hoodie: I just had to have this. I love a baggy hoodie for lounging about in.
  2. I love NY t-shirt: No trip to NY would be complete without one of these obviously!
  3. Cat print leggings (Forever 21): These are actually PJ’s but they are far too pretty to wear to bed so I use them as leggings!
  4. PJ Set (Forever 21): I also wear the Meow top as a normal top just with a plain cami under it as its a bit see through!
  5. Sparkle leggings (American Eagle): I love sparkles and these were so unusual. I’ve not seen anything like them in the UK!

Image

  1. Both Checked Shirts (American Eagle): I couldn’t decide between the 2 colours and they were in the sale so I just got both!
  2. Burgundy cable knit jumper (American Eagle)
  3. Popcorn knit cream jumper (Aeropostale): This will look so cute in spring with skinny jeans!
  4. Beige Cable Knit Jumper (American Eagle)
  5. Pink Juicy Jumper (Juicy Couture): Only $25 in the sale! I’ve had this on loads and it looks really good! I love baby pink at the moment!

Image

I really needed some new tops for uni so the above is a selection of what I picked up! The white cat one is my favourite! A bargain at $10 from Forever 21!

Image

More hoodies! They are just so cheap in America and I wear them all the time at uni!

So there we go, a selection of the items I picked up in New York!

Hope you enjoyed this post! I certainly enjoyed the shopping for it!

Outfit: Pink to make the boys wink!

Okay so firstly, I apologise for my absence from the blogosphere lately! I’ve had a horrible few months and I just haven’t felt like sharing  anything with the world! On November 21st I was told I would be losing my job at the end of the year. I took this pretty hard as I’ve been in the same job since I was 16! It was my first ever job and I slowly worked my way up. I had a really close relationship with my colleagues so it wasn’t very nice! When the closing down process began, everything got manic and I had no time for anything! Anyway, long story cut short, we closed up for the last time on the 23rd december. I still miss the place every day 😦

So rambling over, here is my outfit from yesterday!

Image

Cardigan- New Look £12.99

Jeggings- New Look £9.99

Cami- Hollister (few years old)

p.s my phone case in this picture holds a small clue to what post might be coming soon! 😉

Image

I just love this scarf! I got it from my work in our closing down sale for just £3 (along with about 20 other scarves!)

So there we go, a little outfit post to ease me back into blogging ha ha!

What will be, will be

This week has been just horrible!

You may have been reading in the papers/ seen on the news that Tie Rack is closing all its UK stores before the end of the year. Well I work in one of those stores and I’ve been made redundant.

Not many people say they love their job, but i genuinely do. I’m absolutely gutted! It’s been so hard to take the news and I’m really gonna miss everyone when we all leave.

Of course now we are in closing down sale, the place has gone mad, especially with it being so close to Christmas! Therefore, please forgive me if there are very few posts between now and christmas! I’m working a lot of hours at the moment!

So what is the point in this post you may ask? Well I’ve been reading lots of news articles about the closing of Tie Rack. Many people blame it on men not wanting to dress smart anymore. Other people say online competitors are killing us. And I’ve seen the tweet “who even wears a tie anymore?” about 300 times!!

This has angered me so much! People don’t seem to realise Tie Rack is not just a tie shop! We sell jewellery, scarves, hats, gloves for both men and ladies! And the accessories are all gorgeous and very on trend! It is so upsetting to see people who think it is just a tie shop!

I’d love to know what you think about this! Have you ever shopped in Tie Rack? Do you think it’s true that men don’t want to dress smart anymore? And what do you think about the potential death of the high street due to online sales? Leave me a comment below! 🙂

2nd Anniversary Surprise!

This is a little bit of a late post, but on Thursday 31st October, my partner and I celebrated our 2nd Anniversary (not wedding anniversary, I’m still working on that!)

He’d been taunting me with a surprise he had planned for weeks! In the morning he came through to the sitting room with a gorgeous leopard print suitcase and told me to pack enough things for the next day! Then we got in the car and drove about 30 miles outside of Edinburgh.

This was me excited before we left!

Image

(I really need to learn to smile! ha ha!)

Then we arrived at the Macdonald Inchyra Grange Hotel and Spa near Falkirk! The hotel was gorgeous! It was in what looked like an old church which had been converted into a hotel.

This was our lovely room for the night:

How amazing is this sofa!!? I was honestly contemplating buying it off the hotel, i loved it that much! I took this photo to see if I could find a similar one anywhere when we eventually buy a house!

So, once we had put our things in the room we headed down for lunch in the restaurant. I had gammon steaks with chips and egg which was amazing. Full of flavour, which is not something you can always say about gammon! My partner had mushroom tagliatelle. I had a little taste of this and it was also amazing!

After lunch, we headed to the swimming pool. It was lovely and quiet! Everytime I try to go swimming in Edinburgh, the pool is full of babies and toddlers screaming! We had a lovely swim, sauna and steam room, then we relaxed on the heated loungers before heading back upstairs for a shower.

Then came my second surprise! He’d booked me 2 spa treatments!! My first treatment was a back, neck and shoulder massage which was amazing! That was the first time I’d ever had a massage but I will definitely be booking another one in the future!

The second treatment as a 30 minute facial. The hotel used Decleor skin products and it was my first time using these products. The therapist told me they are all made using essential oils and natural products. After the facial my skin felt lovely and soft! It also got rid of the patch of dry skin I had on my forehead which was a bonus. My skin is still feeling lovely even 2 weeks later! You can buy Decleor skin products HERE

After my relaxing time in the beautiful spa, we headed out to dinner to celebrate our 2 years together!

Image

Please excuse my face! We took these photos before i had done my hair and make-up!

My dress is from Lipsy (£48). I also had a leopard print clutch bag from Accessorize, plain black tights from Primark and plain black court shoes from New Look.

My other half is wearing Primark Chinos, M&S shirt, and tartan tie with matching pocket square from Tie Rack!

We both had an amazing time and we can’t wait to do it again some day! In January we will be heading off on our very special holiday which we have been saving and waiting for for over a year! I’m so excited about it! It has always been my dream, when I turn 21 to go to New York and we are finally going!!!

Expect many excited blog posts about this as we get even closer! 50 days to go! 🙂

Mini Primark Haul // November

I’ve been a terrible blogger recently and haven’t posted in ages! I’ve had coursework coming out my eyeballs, but it’s all over now so I’ve got time for a quick post!

And it is one of my favourites! A primark haul!

Just a little haul though, because christmas is coming and I’m saving my pennies for a very special holiday just after christmas!

Image

Cardigan £6

This was very boring purchase but I’m always in need of black cardigans for work. This felt a bit thicker than my usual primark cardigans so it will do nicely for the winter months!

Image

Super Cosy tights- £3.50

I’ve become a big fan of dresses and tights in the last few months. Because I usually walk to work I definitely need these to keep my legs warm! Especially when it starts snowing which, judging by the cold air, isn’t too far away!!

Image

Sweatpants £3

Not the most fashionable of items, but I bought these purely for lounging about the house on my days off! (and running to the corner shop for my daily can of diet coke!) They were in the sale for £3 and are my favourite colour so they will do nicely for what I need them for.

Image

Fleece Nightdress £4

How amazingly cute is this?! I saw this on a sale rack reduced from £7 to £4 and I just had to have it! I love the reindeer print on it and the colours go so well together. Very cosy and christmassy! Even my mum loved it! So much that she bought one for herself too! They’ve got lots of other patterns of these at full price which also look lovely and cosy!

Image

Hat £3

And finally, I picked up this cute little hat! I really liked the colours of this hat and I’ve got a similar one is plain cream colour which I wear all the time so I know I will definitely get wear out of this. I’m really loving hats just now! They are so good for bad hair days, of which I have many!

What have you been buying in Primark lately? Leave me links to your blog below 🙂

Lush Snow Fairy Review!

Image

Christmas time is my favourite time of year. I just love cosy nights in, bright lights, big scarves and obviously, the lush christmas range!

I was sooooo excited when this returned to the shops! Snow fairy is described as having the scent of candy floss and pear drops. When you open the bottle, be prepared for your whole bathroom to be filled with the scent. It is powerful and a little goes a long way! (as you can see I’ve not used much out of this bottle despite using it every day for 2 weeks).

It sounds creepy but I find myself popping the lid on this and just sitting sniffing the bottle. I don’t know why but the smell just makes me instantly happy! The scent clings to you for hours after showering. In fact, I’ve noticed I can still be able to smell it on my skin up to 12 hours later!

In my opinion, this is an absolute must-have! You can purchase it HERE. Don’t let the price put you off! It is worth every penny!
